We raised rabbits when I was a child and my sister gave a rabbit a bath (she was 5) and it died..so heed this instruction.
I wasn’t going to reblog this, but then I realized I might save a rabbit.
This is important guys. If your rabbit gets into something gnarly and you HAVE to bathe them:
1. Fill a bowl with warm water.
2. Get a washcloth. Put it in the water. Squeeze it out until it is just damn.
3. Lightly scrub the dirty area on your bun.
4. That is it. DO NOT get your bun wet. Only slightly damp on the part that was dirty.

This actually doesn’t apply to ALL situations. IF a bun is in desperate need of a wash/has been separated from its mother at a young age and is filthy, you CAN bathe the bun in warm water with baby shampoo. Rinse thoroughly. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: dry the bun with a hair dryer on low so tha it doesn’t get sick. This goes for Chinchillas too!
I know cats don’t sweat but the oily ness of one of our cats fur. It worries me.
That might be a skin thing, I’d say take it to the vet and see if they can give you something for it. You may have to wash that part with a special shampoo or with warm water regularly.
Yeah.. we took her to the vet because of excessive licking. To the point where she was going bald. The vet suggested it was a food allergy so we are trying new more sensitive brand. And like senior cat foods. She ( The vet) didn’t notice anything off with the fur other than the balding.
So it was a skin thing? Yeah, it might take a while until it goes away, just keep an eye on your cat’s behavior and try to avoid bathing it if at all possible!
Yeah. She’s acting normal but just licking herself bald. I don’t think it’s a dietary thing because she started licking her legs. As far as I know. Digestive organs are not in the legs. But I’m no cat biologist…
Cats lick themselves bald either because of allergic reactions making them itch or because of stress/boredom. It could be the food, watch her behavior for a few days after changing food and if it doesn’t get better see if you can help her exercise more, like playing with her or maybe get her a game where she has to think. If that doesn’t work spend more time with her and see if there’s anything that might stress her out

Okay, this never happens. I just sat down for a solid 3 and a half hours and wrote a fic from start to end in a draft format that closely resembles mid-draft as opposed to first draft. My concentration never wavered.

as opposed to slapping oxygen inside the pan with the downward motion

When I was learning how to cook for myself in my tweens, I had at least a five years of fire safety seminars from school drilling this into my head, and I STILL had that instinctive put-the-fire-out-with-water reflex. Didn’t even think. I saw our oily burner catch fire after frying eggs, whipped around towards the sink for water, and my brain immediately screamed NO!!! NO WATER! I mean that fire safety stuff straight up bitchslapped me out of REFLEXIVELY setting my house on fire. I found a pot lid and inched it over the burner before turning off the heat. Even if you think you know this stuff, panic is powerful shit. Make knowledge more powerful.

I’m spreading this because this is greatly unsettling to me. I live in europe and really can’t imagine how the future would look like.
At this point i’m signing every petition i come across, have contacted all of the MEPs that are relevant to me and told pretty much everyone i talk to about it.
Please help, it’s important.I live in Europe and this is horrifying.
